RF and gua sha: what each one is for

One warms and tightens, one moves fluid. They do different jobs, which is why we run them in the same treatment.

People book these interchangeably, and they are not interchangeable at all.

Radiofrequency

RF heats the deeper layers to a controlled temperature. Collagen contracts immediately — that is the same-day tightening — and over a series the skin lays down more of it. The result builds. One session is pleasant; six change the jawline.

Gua sha

Gua sha is mechanical: a stone worked along the lymphatic pathways to move fluid out of the face and release the muscles that hold tension. Puffiness goes down in the session, and the face looks less heavy.

RF works on structure over weeks. Gua sha works on fluid and tension the same evening.

Why together

Heating first makes the tissue more pliable, so the gua sha work goes deeper with less pressure. It also means you leave looking visibly different, while the collagen work continues quietly for the next three months.
